Jim Hannan has a
passion for the ocean that comes through in his
impressionist paintings.
His paintings reflect the constantly changing ocean as seen through a
waterman's perspective.
After years of
painting with watercolors and acrylics, it was only after working in the surfboard industry that he married
his art with a medium normally limited to surfboards. The
colors and textures of
pigmented resins and
fiberglass give the paintings a real sense of movement. This
unique application coupled with his
impressionist style of painting, captures the many elements of the ocean and its
waves.
